Fly-tipping in the Parish again...

On my way to the station this morning, I noticed that somebody had dumped some old, broken furniture on the hard-standing on the Creeting side of the bridge over the A1120. I've reported it to Mid Suffolk District Council but, if you encounter any other incidents of fly-tipping, please report it to our Parish Clerk, Rosemary Cochrane, on 01473 657009, or contact Mid Suffolk District Council directly on 0845 606 6045.

  1. Fly tippers are hard to spot as most, I suspect, do it in darkness (easier to do in winter months and the prospect of being fined doesn't seem to deter them). And given the lack of resources that councils now have, monitoring this activity is difficult unless the local community gets involved. Instead of leaving an eyesore, why don't they hire a skip at a low cost from a reputable company who will dispose of their waste in a responsible manner? For instance, http://www.selectaskip.co.uk/skip-hire-in-bury-st-edmunds.
